An egg and sperm are fertilised outside the body to create an embryo, which is then implanted into the uterus to facilitate pregnancy.
It is a specialised form of In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) in which a single healthy sperm is injected directly into the egg for fertilisation.
It is a laboratory technique where embryos are cultured for an extended period, typically 5 to 6 days, allowing them to develop into blastocysts. This method enhances embryo selection and may improve the success rates of IVF. The selected embryos are transferred into the woman’s uterus for implantation and pregnancy.
It is a process where sperm cells are preserved at ultra-low temperatures, typically in liquid nitrogen, to maintain their viability for future use in assisted reproductive procedures.
A method where a woman's eggs are extracted, frozen, and stored for future use. It preserves fertility by allowing women to delay pregnancy until a later time.
It involves preserving embryos at sub-zero temperatures for later use in assisted reproductive technologies. This allows individuals to store viable embryos for all freeze cycles which may increase success rates of IVF and for future pregnancies.
Male infertility is assessed by semen analysis to determine the count, motility and shape of the sperm. Advanced tests like DNA fragmentation (DFI) tests are done to measure DNA damage in the sperm in cases like repeated implantation failure.
It involves testing embryos created through IVF for genetic disorders before implantation. It allows for the selection of embryos free from specific genetic conditions, reducing the risk of passing on hereditary diseases to the child.
A technique used during IVF where embryos are screened for chromosomal abnormalities before implantation. It helps identify genetically normal embryos, improving the chances of a successful pregnancy and reducing the risk of certain genetic disorders.
A surgical procedure where sperm is directly extracted from the testicle for use during IVF when obtaining sperm through ejaculation is not possible. It is employed in cases of male infertility or when retrieving sperm from the epididymis is not feasible.
A minimally invasive procedure where sperm is directly aspirated from the epididymis using a fine needle for IVF. This method is employed when sperm retrieval through ejaculation is challenging or not possible.
It is a third party reproduction program that uses male , female or both gametes of a third party for forming an embryo for the couple. This procedure is done when the female or male partner is unable to produce healthy eggs or sperms.
It is a reproductive technique in assisted reproductive technology where a laser is used to create a small opening in the outer shell of an embryo, facilitating its implantation in the uterus during IVF. This method aims to enhance the chances of successful embryo implantation in the uterine wall.
A surgical procedure to remove non-cancerous tumours (fibroids) from the uterus, often performed to alleviate symptoms like pelvic pain, heavy menstrual bleeding, or fertility issues. It preserves the uterus and may improve reproductive outcomes for women with fibroids.
The surgery involves removing abnormal tissue growth outside the uterus to alleviate pain and improve fertility in individuals with endometriosis.
A medical procedure enabling the examination and diagnosis of uterine conditions such as polyps, fibroids, or abnormalities affecting fertility and menstruation.
A minimally invasive surgical procedure to visualize and address various abdominal and pelvic conditions, including endometriosis, ovarian cysts, or tubal ligation.

FAQs
IVF treatment is a straightforward process. It begins with a consultation with one of our doctors, then tests and investigations. Our IVF specialist will create a personalized treatment plan for you once the underlying cause of your infertility has been identified. It typically varies from person to person.
The typical time span between the start of stimulation and egg retrieval is 12 to 15 days. It will take around 17 days to complete a fresh transfer and an additional 14 days to receive the results. The entire preparation process will take 17 to 20 days if a frozen embryo transfer is intended for the following cycle. After 14 days, the pregnancy test results are available.
Some women may find the IVF process uncomfortable or painful, but this is not always the case. With the aid of an experienced physician or fertility clinic like us, the procedure can be more comfortable.
It can be physically and emotionally exhausting to struggle with infertility. In-vitro fertilization (IVF) provides many couples with the best chance of conceiving a child. The IVF procedure does have some side effects, though. A few patients may experience side effects like bloating, headaches, breast tenderness, mood swings, an upset stomach, and constipation, while most patients may experience no negative side effects.
It is crucial to discuss these with us before any medical procedure so you can make an informed choice. The potential benefits often outweigh the minor inconveniences for many couples. We'll help you make the best choice possible.
On a global scale, young women undergoing IVF generally achieve an average success rate of approximately 40%, with higher success rates observed in those below the age of 35. The commonly utilized assisted reproductive technology (ART) success is typically measured by the live birth per embryo transfer metric.
